About the festival

CIRCA Pintig’s annual Chicago Filipino American Theatre Festival provides an incubator for new Filipino and Filipino American works.

The 3rd Annual Festival featured theme is PASABOG - a common Filipino slang term to express how showstopping, brilliant, or extra someone or something is.

Our selected plays are spectacular, explosive, and revelatory about the Filipino diaspora and the cultural themes that center the Filipino and Filipino American experience. This year’s plays will be spectacular, excitable, and bold.
