About the show

Essential Invisible, in partnership with CIRCA Pintig, centers a Pinoy lens with an all Asian-American cast of William Shakespeare’s King Lear, a tragic play about an aging king who decides to divide his kingdom among his daughters based on how much they profess their love for him.

As relationships unravel and loyalties are tested, themes of power, family, pride, and justice come to the forefront. The story explores the consequences of misjudgment and the emotional toll of betrayal and aging.
